Tell Our Senators to VOTE NO on THE SAVE (Safeguard American Voter Eligibility) Act.
It is crafted by right-wing Republicans to make voter registration more cumbersome and reduce voting, especially among low-income, nonwhite, and women voters.
-
SAVE would require all American citizens registering to vote or updating their registration to present documentary proof of citizenship in person. For most Americans, this would be a passport or birth certificate.
-
Government-issued driver’s licenses—including REAL IDs—as well as military or tribal IDs do not satisfy the bill’s requirements.
-
The SAVE Act would change the way all citizens register to vote. It would upend online voter registration, making it impossible to mail in a registration application and eliminating voter registration drives.

Celebrate Senator Cory Booker's Courage...
...and capitalize on the attention to his historic 25-hour Senate filibuster speech that ended several days ago. It was remarkable and we encourage people to read or listen to any part of the speech. Click here to see the highlights.
Booker emphasized numerous times that this is a pivotal moment in history, It is "a moral moment. It's not left or right--it's right or wrong, [and] let's get in good trouble."
What We Must Do:*
-
Demand our own Colorado members of Congress follow Senator Booker’s lead and start obstructing NOW. These are not normal times, and they must stop pretending they are able to govern with Trump and Musk.
-
Call, email, and tag your members of Congress.
-
Tell them to stand in front of offices and agencies that are being stripped, and prevent entrance of Trump and Elon’s cronies. Stop confirming Trump’s appointees and start taking turns, like Booker, and filibuster any votes from moving forward.
-
Join their constituents at public actions, like the April 5th rallies and protests nationwide. Hold rallies in front of the White House, the Capitol, and the Supreme Court. Demand that all of their Congressional colleagues of conscience join them.
-
Tell them, we the people, will back them up.
